Founded in 2003, Ibex Investors is a US-based investment firm targeting outsized returns through niche, non-correlated, differentiated strategies. As of December 31, 2018, the firm manages approximately $510 million in assets across four strategies focused on Israel, behavioral finance, driverless cars and microcaps. Dan Avida, General Partner, Opus Capital
With 16 years experience building successful companies and guiding them through to profitable outcomes, Avida brings a strong operating background to the TrapX board of directors. He works with innovative entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Israel who are developing systems, cloud and enterprise infrastructure and applications, solutions for the post-PC world, and security and next-generation collaboration platforms. Most recently, Avida was president and CEO of Decru, Inc., a pioneering storage security company he co-founded in 2001 that was acquired for $272.5 million by Network Appliance (NASDAQ: NTAP) in 2005. He was also a founding member, chairman, and CEO of Electronics for Imaging (NASDAQ: EFII), which under his leadership experienced five years of dramatic, consecutive growth, placing the company on Business Week‘s, Fortune‘s and Forbes‘ lists of fastest-growing companies and on the NASDAQ 100 index. Avida served as an officer in the Israel Defense Force during the years 1984-1989. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, where he graduated summa cum laude. He has five granted patents.

Charles H. “Hank” Thomas, CEO, Strategic Cyber Ventures
Hank Thomas is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Cyber Ventures (SCV). Hank leverages 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, military intelligence, management consulting, and business to identify, assess, invest in, and mature differentiated business and technology teams positioned to revolutionize the cybersecurity landscape. Hank serves as a member of the SCV board of directors and on the boards of cybersecurity product companies TrapX Security, ID DataWeb, E8 Security, and Polarity. All are a part of the SCV portfolio of companies. Before forming SCV, Hank served an 11-year tenure as an executive at Booz Allen Hamilton—a global strategy, technology, and consulting firm—leading a highly successful consulting business focused on military grade cybersecurity for both commercial and government clients. Hank also served as the director of Booz Allen’s Cyber4Sight™, a multi-capability, global-cyberthreat intelligence team. His commercial client base included Fortune 100 financial services, retail, global manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, energy, and oil and gas clients. His government portfolio included U.S. military, intelligence, counterintelligence, and cyber community clients. Prior to his work at Booz Allen, Hank was commissioned through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) as an officer in the U.S. Army immediately upon graduation from Northwestern State University with a B.A. in Political Science. Selected for the Military Intelligence Corps, Hank served as an active duty intelligence officer for eight years in a variety of tactical, operational, and strategic assignments. Hank spent much of his military career focused on cyber, signals intelligence, information operations, and military intelligence planning, operations, gathering, and analysis. His assignments included the National Security Agency (NSA), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, and the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Eran Barkat, Partner, BRM
Eran is a recognized Hi-Tech leader with a proven track record of helping startups grow. Eran also serves as a partner at BRM Group, a well-known Israeli private investment fund. Eran joined BRM beginning of 2008 and is responsible for all Hi-Tech investment opportunities. Prior to joining BRM, Eran was Investment Manager and Principal at the Private Equity Fund IGI (Israel Growth Investors). Previously, he was Business Development Manager at BRM Group, responsible for exploring new investment channels and new opportunities. Before that, he worked at Kamoon as a programmer. Eran also sits on the board of ColorChip, Moovit, Roomer and Capester. Eran holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an MBA from Bar-Ilan University.

Brian T. Abrams, President, Ibex Investors
Brian is President of Ibex Investors, which he joined in 2011. Previously, he was Managing Partner at Row Capital, advising hedge funds, venture capital firms, family offices, and Fortune 500 companies on their investments in emerging markets such as India. Prior to that, Brian founded and sold G2 Analytics, a corporate intelligence firm with operations in the U.S. and India. He began his career at Bard Capital, a U.S.-based, single-family office focused on private equity and venture capital investments. He also served on the Board of Directors of the United States Presidential Scholars Foundation, of which he was previously Chairman and President. Brian received his Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University.
